About me
From Mayday Calls in Icy Waters to Directing Scenes in Warm Light!
I didn’t take the traditional path into film. I started in Sitka, Alaska — small town, big dreams, no blueprint.
I enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, served ten years enlisted, earned my commission, and completed my degrees. After that, I was given the opportunity to manage intelligence support for the Pacific theatre. After retiring from active duty, I put away the uniform and stepped into the unknown — chasing creativity instead of certainty.
Today, I’m a Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and Video Assist Operator based in Florida. I bring precision, calm, and grit to every production — whether it’s a high-pressure commercial shoot or a long-form narrative. My background taught me how to lead, adapt, and execute under pressure. My passion keeps me chasing the next story.
I’m also the author of Cut the BS: The Story of a Man Who Refused to Stay Small. It’s not a guide — it’s a wake-up call for anyone tired of autopilot and ready to build something real.

Who would have ever thought the cute guy above would turn into the crazy guy to the right! :-)
